I could try to sum up my week in Wisconsin in words, but I would never be able to do it justice. There’s something purely wonderful about spending seven days in a stunning and familiar place with some of the people that I love the most.

Whether we were playing lawn games, competing in the annual water volleyball tournament, indulging in deliciously greasy cheese curds, sitting around the dining room table for brunch, sailing away on the boat, or simply sitting on the dock catching rays, the week as a whole was fantastic. The fleeting moments when I was laughing so hard I could barely breathe reminded me that life is really, truly good. The Fourth was a great way to end the trip, and I couldn’t be happier with the week up North or sadder to return to normal life. There’s a magic about Wisconsin that makes coming home a bittersweet endeavor. Until next year, WI— stay golden. xx
