Describe yourself in three words.
Lively, Hopeful, Genuine
What are your top three favorite albums? Artists?
The Life of Pablo- Kanye West
The Human Condition- Jon Bellion
Where do you want to see yourself in five years?
I hope to be working for the government, a non-profit, the U.N., or at an embassy. I want to make a positive change in the world. I have always wanted to help people and make the world a safer place. I believe it is my moral responsibility to help and serve others. I would also like to remain involved in music and the arts and someday manage an opera company.
What’s something important to you?
Music is very important to me and has been my whole life. I am involved in choirs at Dowling, the Des Moines Opera Project, and I study voice. Music captures what words cannot always express and can reveal the purest human emotions.
One of your favorite memories from the past four years?
One of my favorite memories would be last summer when I participated in a vocal program in Italy for a month. I was in the opera The Magic Flute by Mozart, sang in masterclasses and recitals, and learned so much about myself. The history, people, and, of course, the food was something I will never forget.
Ryan is one of the funniest, most outgoing, and most genuine people I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know in high school. Whether it be his rockin’ jams or the way he treats everyone around him, he is one cool kid. I can’t wait until he (as mentioned above) works for the government or becomes an international star in the music industry and I can say I’m friends with one of the most coveted people in the world. Shoutout to Ryan Farrell for being such a compassionate, kindhearted guy. You rock, Ry. xx
