Pure Bliss

Tonight I had one of those Pure Bliss moments talked about here. I was playing a tennis match for the first time in nearly eight months and had the time of my life. Let me give you some background:

I’ve been playing tennis for twelve years, and I grew up traveling to tournaments each summer. Somehow, years later, I ended up playing the number one varsity spot on my high school team. It’s been an honor, a privilege, a lot of work, and a dream come true to hold that position. Our school season is quickly approaching in the coming weeks, and tonight I got a match in with a fellow teammate.

As we played, I slowly stopped thinking about the outside world and kept my sole focus on each point. Standing at the baseline waiting to return each serve was the only thing that mattered in those moments. I was re-introduced to the sole fun that tennis has always been to me. I’m so thankful to have felt such joy as I played tonight; moments like those can be far and few between.

As always, thanks for letting me share what brings me Pure Bliss.
